Thor 50/50 boots... Son of a...
I just purchased a brand new pair of Thor 50/50 motocross boots from Ebay, brand new in the box with tags. I absolutely love them. They're comfy as hell, and though slightly heavy, I can wear them as normally every day boots which is awesome... well, was awesome I guess.
Today, after my 4th day wearing them (2nd time riding with them) my strap just up and snapped in half. Wtf? I called Thor, and they said that they just switched manufacturers of the boots because of this problem, but they no longer sell the Black and Red ones, which she presumed I had (and she was right) and therefore has no black and red straps. She did however offer to send me a full set of 4 white on metal or white on white straps for free, so I could replace ALL of my straps on my boots to match the color. I went with white on white since I've got a Red/White Honda. I guess my boots will be one of a kind which is kinda neat. On the flip side, I won't get to wear them this weekend and I planned on trying to go for a dual sport off-road trip.

That's pretty awesome customer service at least.

At least they recognized the problem and fixed it.
In addition to retrofitting your boots.

I installed the new ones Monday, and I've worn the boots to work all week. COMFY!
Thor sent me 4 all white ones, as well as a TON of free stickers. (Litterally over 15) I put a Thor sticker on my front fender.

completely agree - very comfortable and enough sturdiness/protection to be worth wearing
they hit the sweet spot for me also, but like you I also have had the straps break on me, a while back I found a place that still had some replacements in stock on amazon (not showing anymore) and ordered several for me to toss on the shelf and use as they crack, hopefully my little stockpile will last until the rest of the boots give up |

I must have the older ones...grey with red buckles. They're still going strong and are my favorite go-to boots. I love it when gear turns out to be a "favorite" versus something that just sits unused, and these 50/50's have turned out to be a fave.
Nice to know the customer service is good. If I find another good deal on them I'll put a pair in the closet.
