***Shut down*** Aux driving lights - 40watt Cree LEDs 3200 lumens
***Last comment posted here:
Thanks for the feedback guys, as I said I'm not making my living off this and only wanted to share what I tried on my bike so all I'm doing is inputting stuff into UPS and HK Post for rates (maybe I'm too honest in the declared value?). With regards to alibaba sure you can order direct from them and might be even cheaper too. But they know you're over there and they're over here and once they sell stuff to you they don't give a crap. I travel to Shenzhen on a weekly basis for my business so I get to know some of these guys at the factories and the lights end up in my hands before I ship them to you so I'll make sure they actually light up before I pack them. Of course your experience may differ so give it a try; but if I were you living in the states I'd buy Made in USA (only reason I tried the Chinese ones was cause I'm located here right now and shipping's $$$$ from the states plus some won't even ship them cause they think I'm a Chinese company trying to knock off their designs... sigh...) Anyway as there's already tons of suppliers on this forum I think I'm gonna shut this down. Good luck guys stay safe!*** Hi guys I recently bought some Made in China LED driving lights to mount on the Vstrom I traded my VFR for; I’m working in Hong Kong at the moment so I couldn’t say no to 5 bucks shipping direct from factory. Starting a new job that’s going to be an 1.5 hour daily commute with lots of cagers so thought I’d get some bright aux lights for the dusk/dawn times when I’ll be riding. Attached are some pictures on where I mounted mine; not ideal since the lights might be toast if I drop my bike but you can mount ‘em anywhere for your own application. Enough chit chat, product details are: - 4 x 10watt Cree LEDs. - APPROX 800 lumens per module x 4 = 3,200 lumens per light = 6,200 lumens per pair - Runs on 10-30volts - Draws 3amps @ 12v; 1.5amps @ 24v - 6000k colour temp - Aluminum housing - Weather production IP67 rating - Available in 40 degree flood or 25 degree focused beam patterns - Packed in white carton box (see pic) Please note the pics shows my lights mounted and pointing DOWN at the road 2 feet in front of my bike because I ordered the wrong type (40 degree flood) and it blinds cars and pedestrians (notice how it still lights up the buildings and trees in the distance). Order the flood pattern if you are using it where there will be NO on coming traffic. Or get the 25degree spot beam pattern. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Some more new pictures ![]() ![]()

I'd be down for one or maybe even 2 pairs at your awesome price, but shipping sounds like it's going to kill the deal.

FedEx Internatnal economy is 90 USD plus one pair $120 = $210 Hong Kong Post International air parcel is 40 USD plus one pair = $160 Hong Kong post does the job but may take up to 20 business days (they go through the cheapest third parties once it reaches LA hub). Since you're the first customer and two pairs help spread the word, I can give you 20 USD off if you buy two pairs: FedEx is $140 USD plus two pairs $240 = $380 minus $20 off = $360 HK post is $68 plus two pairs $240 = $308 minus $20 off = $288 Let me know if that works put for ya! And any other readers the offer goes to first person to confirm with payment thanks. I'm actually selling this only on advrider I don't even have a website yet or set up a business.

Bump again; I've had them on now for 3 months through rain warnings and parked outdoors, no leaks or meltdowns so far. They're constantly on during the day time as I commute 80kms a day used as my day time running lights.

What are the dimensions of your lights? Could you take a pic or two of the lights not mounted?

I'd also like to remind people when considering this that you would need to think of a mounting point that is protected by the crash bars or body of the bike; I mounted mine where I did because I don't plan on dropping my bike

I've seen this thread pop up a few times, and thought I'd offer my feedback:
Your price is good, but shipping kills it. HKpost sounds the cheapest... Figure out and post shipping to Seattle, LA, St Louis, NY, and Miami. Nobody wants to play PM games just to see if they're interested. Most importantly- POST SOME DECENT PICTURES!!! These are driving lights, not parking lights! You need a down-the-road shot. Good luck!

Shipping
I just ordered a fairly heavy luggage rack for my Shadow. It was shipped from Hong Kong in less than a week for $15. I'm not sure why the light's shipping would be so high.
