MOD Toolbox v2 Mounted!

Good news and bad news Dave. First the good news, received the Toolbox and mounted it this morning following the recommended method. LOVE IT! My Advdesigns kit fit in there perfect. Now to figure out what irons will fit in there also.

Excuse the background on the first picture, the only thing I had to rest it on was the Edsel.

Now the bad news. My wife is on to us. Her exact quote was "what did you buy from that bastard Dave this time."

Looks great - like what you did with the reflective tape too.

Maybe a cover for the lock?

Yes to lock cover to keep debris from fouling the mechanism. Nice touch if you ask me.

Thanks on the tape. I commute when I can so I like to toss a little extra tape on the bike so that at least my lawyer has a better case when I get caged.

I officially have the entire MOD collection - rear rack, skid plate, side stand foot and now the box and I can officially say each one of them was a fantastic purchase.

Thanks Manventure!!

As for the bad news, well as you've said you have the whole collection so I have nothing left to sell you
...for now...

Glad it mounted up perfectly (as it should/better!) and to hear you Advdesigns kit fit in there perfect too!

Edsel eh?

señormoto that plug is actually the cover for the key lock:

It's never been a problem for the few that are out there from 3 years ago when we first made them but we decided the extra protection is a good anyhow.

Thanks,

Dave

Have any pictures of the back? I was thinking of mounting it vertical between the bash plate and the crossbar of the crash bars. I don't have the MOD ones, but I think I can make it work with what I have.

I think maybe it was like $130? I don't have any pre-mounted pictures but I imagine Dave can give you a picture and dimensions on the bolt pattern.

I think for a price you might be able to check the Vendor section since I think the official thread from Dave was moved over there. I just wanted to give people some pics of it mounted on my bike.

Hi ScienceOfDirt,

Here's the back:

Square holes for 1/4" carriage bolts in the back.

It will fit in different areas and probably with different skid plates (flat front only). I'll update the main thread with this info as I get it.

All the info on this thread:
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=750749
The info really starts at page 3, dimensions page 3, pricing page 7
