Come on out of the closet, I'm sure there are more than just two of you here.

I've tested one, and it was enjoyable. I too wished I could shut of the stability control, but I think the majority of this bike's buyers don't care.
There are a lot them here in SoCal. I think they help a lot of 'mobility lacking' folks get to be out in the wind on them.

At least hacks have a real motorcycle attached to them.

And they don't look like a Miata/snowmobile transformer.

"Belongs in Shiny things"

That's what I thought it at first, too, but but Hacks specifically says "2+ wheeled moto-contraptions". That is the textbook definition of a Spyder, no?

The sidecar guys might not be too happy.

Don't know about this year, but there are usually a bunch of them around Americade doing demo rides. A couple of years ago I got stuck behind a long string of them that appeared to be owner driven, not demos, so it might be the place for someone to check out the Spyder seen. Not for me, and I must say I was rather annoyed that the long string (maybe 50 of them?) were going about 10-20 mph below the speed limit, but I think that was more a function of the numbers than the performance potential. Was kinda fun swooping by them all though...

Well, I wave at 'em, so they're motorcycles.

I'm not interested in these but just curious if you need a motorcycle endorsement or can someone get away with a standard drivers license?
