Based on what I read so far, my prediction is that this bike will really shake up the adventure touring segment. Between the two versions of this bike, 1190 has a potential to please the sport touring "Ducati" crowd, hardcore offroad riders, and anything in between.
Well I am a Multi Owner, awesome road bike with a lot of niggling issues: I have become addicted to the power , and only ride dirt tracks so real off road isn't a requirement for me. The issues that will make me change are :-

1) Good screen and wind protection !
2) A rear brake that works!
3) Luggage that is robust,
4) Wire wheels.

The rest the Multi has. I am hoping that KTM have produced a reliable SUV type with good road handling . Option two is the new GS , so many choices ??

I always thought she looked pretty sleek, looks a little portlier here.

I'm a big guy....barely fit in a coach seat on a plane...and I mean barely.

The new AdventureR looks just fantastic to me. I was a bit worried it would not have enough wind protection, but actually looks like its going to be perfect.

I just can't wait. The only part I'm not looking forward to is the valve adjustments.

How do they figure that? Factories claim the same power for each. KTM claims slightly more weight. And MCN hasn't had it on the dyno or weighed it, AFAIK.

Sounds like they liked it tho.

Very sad that MCN considers a lower power to weight ratio "better."

MCN obviously means that the KTM has a fatter torque curve.

Peak HP is about the same. The Multistrada is about 30 lbs lighter than the 1190 Adventure.
