They are being shipped with street tires! What a shame for an adventure bike.

the rim is different and the speed coefficent need to be higher (270km/h?!), there's no aproved knoby tire for this bike, continental is making one that should be avaliable in a couple of months, the front will be tubeless but not the rear.

Please can we have a photo side-on so that we can see the Akrapovic pipe? Cheers.

This bike will absolutely Rock, nothing else comes close. I will never give up my 990, but this new thing is something from another dimension. It's not a contender it's a champion. Off Road it will destroy the GS and every other Adventure bike on the market for that matter ( except perhaps the 990) , on Road it's playing Cat and Mouse with the Ducati Multistrada. Now if that's not a fun day out I don't know what is.
I love the raw no nonsense power of the 990 it's got everything I want and delivers it in a no nonsense way I like, a kind of ride me or fuck off kind of attitude really. This new bike kinda adds warp drive and ejector seats to the equation..... Nice, and if I had more money than I knew what to do with i'd buy one tomorrow. In the meantime can't wait to see one in the flesh. All these new adventure bike's have been giving me the shits.....a 260 kg + adventure bike... please... an adventure where? I's prefer to ride a camel. Go KTM you guys have blown the rest of the contenders out of the water. Radio1 screwed with this post 03-08-2013 at 04:52 AM |

Love the first pictures of this beast off the beaten track!! My dealer has just called and said mine is in, should be ready next week and cant wait!!
Great ride report, i always knew KTM wouldnt get this bike wrong, they have built what the masses want, but kept it a KTM at heart. I loved my 950 to bits, this looks like everything just gets better!! |

Akrapovic
Thanks for the extra photos.
How much did the Akrapovic cost? Was it an option, or did you buy it and have it changed for the OE pipe (i.e. do you have the OE pipe as well)?
