... just curious, does the KTM switch for the grips and lights integrate well with the factory controls or do they look like aftermarket addons?

Has anyone experienced battery related starting problems yet?
I rode around 150km last Thursday night and today on Sunday morning it wouldn't start.
I had the same issue three weeks ago when I rode to work in the morning and had to have it towed in the evening, failing to start.

Temperatures have dropped to a bit above 0C here but the past few days the bike sitting in my basement garage at around 10C.

Last time it was towed to the dealer who installed new software but this really sucks. I use the bike for commuting but failing to start makes that quite hard...

I had a chance to ride a demo 1190 at 3Brothers, thank you Ricardo and Eduardo....

What an amazing bike... The power is what sets it apart..I have an 05 525 and someday an 1190 will replace my Strom...

Yesterday was out and about and a rider pulled up parked by my Strom.. Ohio plates ..continental street tires... 70 degrees.

Sounds fun!

How do you compare the VEE to the KTM 1190 ADV?
I sat on the ADV R and while it is higher than my WEE (that has shorter dog bones/taller rear and lowered foot pegs) it felt very similar. But I wasn't riding, just sitting.
Can you share your experience in regards to ergonomics?

This is what Cycle Ergo (http://cycle-ergo.com/) shows for a Wee and KTM 1190 ADV, using my height (6'5'') - On the paper, the bikes look very similar in terms of ergonomics! Did you find it similar too?

KTM and DL650 combined, the blue man is the KTM rider this time:

The original Yuasa seems to have a hard time to start the engine at lower temperatures. Some suggest to replace it with a Hawker Odyssey P310, which has lower Amps but a stronger output for starts, better performances in winter or after long pauses.

If I take my hands off the bars the bike gently wanders to the right and will keep on going until I bring it back. Not noticeable at all when riding normally - the bike peels in left and right with a lovely balanced feel. Took it back to my always helpful dealer and they string lined the wheels - found them about 2mm out. Also adjusted the head bearings. They rode it and it still drifted right, just a little less. So they fired up their demo bike and it did exactly the same. No one had noticed before. We found ourselves wondering if it could be caused by the big heavy muffler sticking out on the right side. Any thoughts from other owners?
I do sometimes to crack my knuckles and have not noticed it on my R, but i steer it with weight when doing that anyway.. Ill try it tonight and let you know if i notice it.

The 1190 is "new" and feels like it, More athletic and the power... Those were the big differences. Very smooth and precise light steering and peg input needed.

For an older design with much less power the Vee compares well I thought, partly why I wanted to ride the 1190 to judge the "Vee." Mine is dialed in including the SV back torque limiting clutch, PC3 with a custom map, pipes.. Some suspension work (will finish it eventually).. Laminar lip and Madstadd bracket.

Handling was similar and for actual touring and eating up miles the Strom would be a good choice still as an older design.

Virtually identical, I raised my Vee and is just a little taller than the stock KTM. I like my riding position on the Strom and the 1190 is very similar. The images you posted show how close they are and with seats, bars and suspension mods can be dialed in to ones liking...

When I first got on the 1190 and moving it felt like I was falling forward, and the seat is more firm than the stock Vee.
