Are you going to make anymore Roberto? And could you do it without the crash bar mount cutouts for a standard model?

QUOTE=Thagua;23249873]A friend just bought his 1190 R and asked me to develop a heat shield to prevent the engine heat toasting his legs, so we start working with his idea and the result is fantastic ... I am a Yamaha Super Tenere owner and have done a lot of mods to that bike also ... here are some photos of the SHIELD

Cheers
Roberto
PS. If you need more details please feel free to PM[/QUOTE]

Just got mine in December and I really like it. Its been an unusually cold and rainy winter here in Georgia USA, so miles have been few.

Not pictured here but I installed a Parabellum windscreen and its quite an improvement from the stock one for winter riding. Coming off a Yamaha Super Tenere, I have to say this bike is much more fun to ride

Cheers!

Any one in the USA

Have a 2013 . I have a uni-filter ( just the main filter) that will not fit my 14. They are sending me a new main filter to fit it. I was going to let someone have it for nada if they cover the shipping. I don't have the replacement yet so give me a bit till it shows up. Pm me if you are interested first come first served

I see you have the KTM bashplate, did you have to thread the right side rear hole for the bracket? I'm waiting on a tap to come in so I can thread mine to mount, the hole was there but not threaded.

Material used is fiberglass and the insulation is fiberglass with aluminum foil.
Cheers,
Roberto

I love the heat shield guys. Bravo. I would like to buy one as I plan to ride my 1190R to Panama this spring/summer. I assume it gets quite hot in CA that time of the year. I'd love to have it - just in case the beast is too hot to handle.

Heat shields for KTM 1190 standard

Will have to investigate how to attach it without the crash bar mount two fixing screws. Meanwhile will start a production run of these.
Cheers,
Roberto

If you have it with crash bars I will start production soon. PM if you need a quote.
Cheers,

I wired up my gps today. You might like these pix. I have question about the ACC1 and other "power leads". I can't seem to find in these threads the mention of the option power options. I want to tie into the switched power lead for my zumo mount. I couldn't get the one that I thought was tied to the ignition to work. Ended up using the constant hot lead. I would love insight into which one is switched. I looked through the service manual and couldn't find it there.
