Does anyone know if you can get a dark tinted standard height screen? Part no?

Cheers

Pillion

Searched the thread and have found a few older posts about the 1190's pillion comfort. Anybody's SO have newer updates on KTM's pillion riding. My wife loves to ride 2-up on our '07 R1200GS (short and long trips, stock seat) but I'm sorta interested in getting an 1190 but don't want to jeopardize her comfort. Thanks.

Kag a great host if your ever in Milford Lakes Kansas

If you're ever in around Milford Lakes Kansas Kags was a great host. He helped me change the tires that I was carrying with me and I thought I had some life left in them but I really didn't. The site he has for tent space is beautiful overlooking the lake.

He responded to my pm immediately that I gave about 3 days notice. Was a perfect host. If your ever in this area I highly recommend a stop to meet such a great guy.

He rides a KTM and even treated this Bmw rider fantastically

The seats are hard. But we've solved it by attaching Airhawk seat cushions. Now we can do 1000km+ by day without burning asses.

I guess everyone's seen this by now?

Also, I locked the rear wheel up with the TC in rain mode on some super shiny bitumen at the weekend. Is this supposed to be possible? I've never had abs before, I was kind of expecting it to be magic and was slightly taken by surprise.

2013 bike with the 2014 MSC upgrade.

that should only happen when ABS is "off" or in "Offroad" mode

That's what I thought, but the ABS was on and I'd just switched it to 'rain' mode a few minutes earlier.

Guess it means I won't have to worry about ABS after fitting a 19/17 wheelset at least, bloody thing already doesn't work

I am a yamaha super tenere owner and have done a lot of mods to that bike also ... Here are some photos of the shield

Anyone had the MTC Failure and gauge not showing the gear?

What can it be? Gear sensor?

Post in the 1190 Problem section you'll find an answer much quicker.

It does not sound like a deeper noise like a lose bearing (i think), but more like a click sound almost every time i brake. I could not locate where it comes from, but i think that it comes somewhere from the upper part of the bike (front).

Any ideas ?
I too have this issue with my 1190 R (1750k's on it), have removed the top triple clamp and tightened the head stem nut - these have like a circular nut with c spanner holes in it.

Took it out for a test ride and its still doing it, maybe not as much - cant be sure.
Its doing it just before the bike stops at pretty much full compression. Massive PITA. With ABS off it seems not as bad either.

I had the same experience. After I tightened the nut under the triple tree it still clicked loudly after a short run. My dealer fixed it under warranty and it seems fine for now. He followed a pre-tighten then re-tighten procedure. I've heard some bikes don't have the bearing race fully seated which also should be a warranty item. Go to the dealer or it will drive you crazy or eventually damage something IMHO
