Thanks OKlr! It sure can be a small world sometimes. I was just running a few errands before work and felt like Jersey Mike's for lunch. Hope the little guy didn't keep you too busy on the drive back West.

Crazydrummerdude, in what part of the state will you reside? This is a great time around here, what with all this cool weather.

Haven't decided yet, but the job is in OKC.

Anyone want to rent me a room while I find a house?

Cool! when you get here give a shout out and we'll go riding... your forum name seems really familiar... F800's or something not sure...

Anyway... our state is what it is... but the people really rock! (Oklahoma's greatest asset is the people)

Right now I play bass in a metal band.

I'd prefer to play guitar in just a regular rock band. I'd play drums if I had to.

Motorcycle Safety Class report

So, I went to the OSU-OKC Ready To Ride motorcycle class this last Sunday, there was a whopping cool front it was only 99, and actually felt good.

First of all, the class was being offered free, they received some grant money, normally it is a $100. I think i was expecting a more advanced class, though I'm not kicking it... most of the people there had some areas they could improve on. So it was a little too beginner-ish for me. No biggy, went with some friends from work. There was a Goldwing, a sport bike, me on my GS, and a butt load of cruisers...

There was a fun part at the end, they have a two lane 3/4 mile track of twisties, which we rode in both directions for awhile... I was in the very front and i caught up to the tail-end of the pack pretty quick... i felt sorry for the sport bike guy, cause he was stuck in the middle of the pack...

Overall i would recommend the class if it is free if you think you could benifit from some slow speed skills and such...

Here is their web-site they have another class in September and more free classes planned for next year...

OSU-OKC Ready To RIde

There is another class that i would almost recommend more than OSU and it is always free. This one is put on by the Edmond Police motorcycle cops... it also concentrates on slow speed skills and such, but i think the motorcycle cops do a better job of instructing and those dudes sure can whip those giant ass bikes around... They have classes all the time also...
Here is there site... Edmond Motorcycle Police, Share The Road Class...

Sweet! My Lt. at the PD has family members that were in "Rickets". I don't know what the band is doing now, but you guys may be able to get something going.

Like was said before, BRING RAIN!

Welcome.
