Rockaway

Sorry guys, I've been a bit busy and haven't had a chance to get back to Dadayama.

There is place called the Rockaway Tavern off of I-35 and Seward that is bike friendly. Kind of a destination bar for some of the Harley riders out of Edmond and OKC. I'll get over there in the next day or so and see if it might be a good fit for us. I know the beer is cold and I'm pretty sure they serve food. I'll look around for a backup too, just in case.

I found out tonight the Rockaway doesn't have food. But they have cold beer! I have a couple of other neat places in mind, like the Bluebell Saloon. I'll check them out tomorrow afternoon.

Adventure 2013

I put together a slide show of our 2013 Adventure ride.
The other riders are still on TAT somewhere in CO. As you know I finished the second part of my ride in a truck but still had one hell of an adventure. No regrets.

Looking forward to getting together soon. I like the idea of somewhere on the North side.

Cheers,
Shov,

Awesome trip! I missed my bucket list trip in 2011 when my dad passed away 5 days before I was to leave with three others...I'll get there one of these days. I'm thinking a lighter bike than my R now, though :)...with knobbies, lol.

Finally got time to look at your pics on smugmug (slideshow). That was a great trip, as far as you made it! Brought back many memories and now I have to talk someone into making that ride with me, did it alone last time, maybe feel better if I had a riding partner on the way to Inuvik. And back.

Riding with the right people makes a big difference. The down under blokes were super cool guys to ride with and sure made the adventure more enjoyable.
There's a couple more Aussies who wanted to make the trip but couldn't. If they do make it over I'll let you know and if your schedules mesh, I'm sure you would like riding with them.

Need to find the closest BMW M/C dealer to Edmond or OKC

We need some help finding the nearest BMW motorcycle dealer.
The Aussie that was on the Arctic Circle ride with us is having trouble starting his 1200GSA. It will run if they tow start it (that must be a sight!) but it won't start on its own.
They are in Elk City so I'm going to take the pickup over there in the AM and haul it here to Edmond.
BMWMOTORRAD shows Tulsa as the closest dealer. Hopefully that's not the case.

That is the case, closest BMW dealer is Tulsa.
However, most of us feel it's worth going the extra 125 miles to Bentonville, Arkansas.

Long time BMW shop, good reputation. And if they are still riding the TAT it's not too far off that.

Thanks Shawnee Bill.
They are still riding the TAT so Bentonville sounds like the right choice. We'll get it there one way or the other.
