Cleaning out the garage - Free to good home!

Will give the OEM tires from my F800GS to anyone willing to pick them up. I took them off the bike this summer and would keep them, but by the time I ever wanted a street biased tire again they'd be dry rotted for sure. I didn't note the mileage when I removed them, but I'd guess they have 3500-4000 miles on them and are in in great condition (at least 50% tread left if not more) They are Pirelli Scorpion Trail sizes 150/70 -17 and 90/90 - 21. I can provide pics if needed.

Clayton this weekend???????

A couple of us are heading down to Clayton Friday, kickstands up around 1pm-ish.

I know there are some other metro folks going... Who all is going??????

OKDQ and I are going to take our big pigs on the K-Trail, or go explore where-ever. Maybe ride a bit of the Oklahoma Adventure Trail on the way home Sunday.

So really... Who all is going from around here????

I take it this means you have the wheel and electrics all back together?

I've got it on my things to do list but not sure.
If I go I will haul the Husaberg down Friday.

brake rotor question

Anyone know where to get a motorcycle brake rotor turned around town?

Do they even do that?

Its generally not recommended. There isnt much material there to begin with. Most big name places are not going to do it due to liability issues.

There isn't usually much service life to a rotor. I just deglaze it with scotch pad and slap on new pads.

I am thinking about doing a camping ride this weekend. Any suggestions where to head from OKC? I am going to be camping overnight, but eating on the road (dont want the extra weight/gear for food.) I will probably camp both Friday and Saturday. I am not looking at going a super long ways, maybe 100-125 miles per day. (If anyone else is interested in going that would be cool too!)

Pick up the OAT somewhere and ride for a couple of days.

I would go, but i have to work this weekend...

To Bill's point about hitting some of the OAT... the sections between Quartz Mountain and Hugo would be good, nothing to tough, and lots of places to camp on the way.

Do you have a GPS?

Are you thinking back roads, state highways or what?

I do not have a GPS at this time, my last one got stolen out of my car and I havent had a good reason to buy another one. I did just figure out how to get the maps onto my phone in a useable format though. I am looking at what you recommended and thinking about maybe heading to Marlow and going west on the trail to Quartz Mountain. Should I be ok doing solo riding on that part?

I'll ride with you if things don't pan out with a hot number I got yesterday.
