Cheers Bruce, I still think this thread (and the rebuild) is mainly your fault!

Only a side panel needed to finish it now and I've got my eye on some perforated steel to make one out of. But, if it passes it MOT test tomorrow (1.00pm UK time) it's ready to ride

My fault? lol.
Awesome job Jim, the bike looks great! Quite the transformation.

Good luck with the MOT. The bike looks like it should walk through.

Need to fix the front brake line routing.

The routing is OK isn't it? Should it go on the wheel side of the fork leg?

Anyway, the good news is that it passed it's MOT. No advisory issues :-). I'll get it taxed tomorrow and then we're good to go.

Wicked Shakedown

Here are a couple of pics from tonights shakedown run...

There are some issues I need to deal with

1. A weeping fork oil seal (not the brake side thankfully)
2. A minor oil leak from the oil filter cover
3. Speedo not working (the drive not the cable or speedo itself)

Not too bad so far, I expected a few more teething troubles than this!

The brake line goes inside the fork leg.

Thanks for the info. I'll swap the line around when I take the wheel out to sort the speedo gearbox issue.

Thumb Finally finished... almost

Brake line rerouted. Speedo fixed. Side panel made from some 1mm aluminium in the garage. I just need to track down the minor oil leak from the front of the clutch case.

Here it is, ready to roll for a camping/riding weekend

Oil Leak

It's probably the Pulse Generator grommet. This is the stator grommet but you get the idea:

That's exactly what I was thinking Steve. It's not a bad leak, but a little oil spreads a long way!
