Jesse Luggage Quick Click Mounts
I posted this in equipment, but was told i'd probably get more replies here. I'm about to drop the hammer on a set of the jesse luggage. I would be purchasing the 11" safari high pipe. I wanted to see if anyone has used the quick click mounting system that jesse offers? Interested in pros and cons on it! With a single mounting point was there any issues with the mount rotating under weight? My understanding is with the quick click system I will have to lower my exhaust some. I would also be interested in information from anyone that has owned jesse boxes and others that can give me an excellent comparison. I've not been impressed with the lack of knowledge from the couple of phone calls I've had with them in trying to get information on their product. Thanks for the info.

I've installed about 14 sets of Jesse bags, and owned two.
The quick mounts are great, and very strong. I have never heard of anyone breaking one, or even damaging one, even in a crash. As to the other parts, the Safari bags have superior locks and hinges to the Odyssey bags, but are otherwise the same high quality. Very few who have owned Jesse bags have complained about them, except for the occasional leak. If you look at the site you will see it is I who created the instructions for installation, so I am pretty well versed in the bags. You will have to lower your pipe, even with the high pipe version, about 1". You wont notice to look of it. Jim

I have the Safari 11 inch low pipe on my '07 12GS. When I ordered, like you, I was a bit nervous. The questions weren't exactly answered and frankly left me with more questions. The girl was very nice, but she clearly wasn't riding a bike of her own with these mounted to it.
![]() Anyway, once I got them I was very very impressed. With the bags off, the mounts are very minimal on the bike and don't look ridiculous like many mounts. When the bags are on, the bags do not move at all. They are very secure. Taking the bags off, or mounting them up is a cinch. I absolutely love the quick clicks. |

I've had a set of Safaris on my GS with the quick click mounts for a couple of years now, and I think they're great. I haven't done a massive Long Way Round kind of trip with them, but have put 10 or 15k miles on with them and done some bouncing around on rough roads and they've been fine.
Am I right in thinking that Jesse is no longer selling through Xplormoto anymore?

My 11" Safari bags arrived today
I have Jesse Bags on my KLR650 and am very happy with them. I ordered the 11" Safari bags for my new 2012 GSA. I did not get the quick click option but stayed with the Odyssey II mounts that I have on the KLR bags. I was very happy with those mounts and find them very easy to get on and off and didn't see the need to get the Quick Click system. I believe the racks are the same regardless of which mount you choose.
Jesse Luggage is no longer selling through Xploremoto and I believe customer service has declined as a result. When I got the KLR bags last year through Xplorermoto they were very helpful and well informed. The person I dealt with when contacting Jesse directly was very pleasant to speak with but wasn't very knowledgeable or helpful and didn't really understand all the ordering options. She gave me some incorrect information that was later corrected when she consulted with another person. I love the bags though and am about to get started on the install process. |

The quick click doesn't have a rack, per se. There is nothing more than an aluminum spanner with the female quick click on the side when the bag is off. Not the large rack of the Odyssey set up.

OK...This is an example of the customer service problems at Jesse I was speaking of. The infomation I received was from the company where I was told that the Quick Click attaches to the rack.

Yeah, I feel your pain. I experienced the same confusion when I asked questions. The photo posted by another member shows it perfect. The whole mount system is nothing more than a fairly eloborate mount for the license plate to move the turn signals back, a support bracket that runs under the seat, and the spanner part the female quick click connects too. It's very streamlined, and doesn't look horrible when the bags are off.

Jesse 11" Safaris w/ Quick Clicks
I have the 11" Safaris installed on my 2005 1200GS. I had originally ordered a set directly from Jesse Luggage to be sent up to me but they never did arrive. So I called their shop and said I would ride down to have them mounted......nothing like a bike trip to AZ! I have had the cases for quite a few years, taking them with me on various on/off road trips throughout Western Canada and the US, including a trip to the Yukon and Alaska. Have even dropped the bike a few times on them, including a skid on ice. Both the cases and the clamps have held up well and continue to be used to date. From my experience, I don't think you can go too far wrong.

No, he didn't let me in on that. I could only guess that the middleman cut into his already thin proffit margin, but that would be a guess.
