Hey, any suggestions on a best rout to make it from Guadalajara to Acapulco? We are going two up and can do reasonable pace (both riders are ex WERA racers, and long distance riders)
Places to stop, or not to stop? Mucho grasias )) |

I was down there a couple years ago and enjoyed Mex15 that heads south of Lake Chapala and over towards Morelia. I really enjoyed 37 libre the old road that parallels the 37 cuota down to the coast that cuts off from 15 south through Uruapan and Nuevo Italia all the way down to the Pacific. Some great riding. Then coastal 200 down through Zihuatanejo to Acapulco.
Others may have ideas. Some great roads in that area. Have fun! Kindest regards, John Downs

Mex 200
I am a fan of the MEX 200 - Go Straight to Puerto Vallarta and head South from there....5 Star - to camping and all in between, all the way down. Great views and the weather is still not too hot (at least yesterday was not too bad in Troncones, Gro).....my opinion on what I would do.....DO NOT EYEBALL MEXICO CITY...Unless you know what you are in for....and if that is the case, you would not be asking !

Have a nice trip. the coast road sounds good idea but the road coast is warm even the air. I have ridden from Huatulco to Acapulco and Acapulco to Zihua on road coast and it was warm

Later this afternoon, downtown Acapulco will be filled with 300 riders from the Sol a Sol coast to coast Veracruz to Acapulco run that began 2 and a half hours ago.
You'll see them. |

X3 in the MEX 200, ride to Colima (Comala) and start the costal ride there if you don't want to ride to PV or ride to PV on the Gdl-Tlalpa-Mascota-San Sebastian del Oeste-PV
