He has no motorcycle license. There is a long boring story about this Virago but it ends with no title. Trust me Buzz, you don't want the headache. This guy says he is getting his motorcycle license while he waits for my Sister-in-Law to get the title fixed. Who knows? I'm just doing the BS & get nothing. 😡

This one is a little 535 girl bike. It only has 15k miles & runs good. It's just been sitting forever.

Motorcycle Zen Shit

Can I vent here? Seems like the place...

So today I am chasing a lean pop after rebuild and want the rework valves one more time to be sure...

All went well with seat, tank, valve cover, and cam removal. Replace 3 shims and on the fourth - bong, there it goes where it stops know body knows...

F#$% SH@#.

I can do a valve adjustment in 20 minutes or three fuckin hours... just depends on how many shims I drop and where they wind up.

I had to pull the MAG (cant believe I had the right puller) to find this sucker.

Replaced everything, slow and easy. Runs exactly as it did before all this shit...

Thank you.

A strong magnet worked well for me, getting the shims out. I broke the magnet off an old speaker to get one out, needed a stronger one. Just took my time and made sure not to drop them going back in. Nice coat of oil on them and all, they are easy to drop! Little things like that make me paranoid, I stuff rags in all of the openings in the motor.

Lost the ejector from my Kel tec once, we have all done it.

Oh I know the drill. Had rags in all the right places (I thought). I have a special magnet I use to remove shims... very strong and then another- less strong- for putting them back. It always happens when you are trying to seat them with you finger. They either snap in or go bong!

Even knowing better (like water crossings) I still fu$% up on occasion.

On another note:

Its actually cool this morning. Could it be Fall ???

This is a short video I wish we could show every single person, tourist or local, before they set foot on our beaches and in our forests.

http://vimeo.com/midway/midwayfilm

In keeping with the peeleak griping theme, I'll say, I like to walk on the beach, it's a good lower leg workout, and good for thinking.. But every single time there is so much fucking trash everywhere it pisses me off to the point I wanna just yell at every person I walk by, and when I leave, instead of being refreshed by communing with nature, I am depressed at the hopelessness of humanity.

Even when I leave the beach with handfuls of trash I just know it'll never be enough. Back in my scouting days, we did "beach cleanup" days and we would literally pick up TONS of trash, as in thousands upon thousands of pounds of trash. and a week later, you could do it again.

I'm bridgin' with ya Phaedrus--I feel the exact same way when I ride out to any one of the primitive camping areas in BW and find that it looks like a garbage dump. Pisses me right off

Damn. Now there is something to grip about.

Yes it was hard to watch...

I noticed the other day when we stopped for a break and everyone pulled out some type of snack. I watched as each guy simply put the trash in his pocket without a thought.

When I was smoking I wouldn't even leave a butt...

But that's just us dirt bikers...
