R90/6 Carb Float setting

So we are needing to adjust the floats on the carburetors and I wanted to see if there is a specific setting or measurement to how to adjust the float correctly. Any info would great!

The molding line in the float should just be past parallel to the bottom of the carburetor. I do this with the carburetor off of the bike and upside down.

I leave the carbs on the bike, remove float bowls, then I hold the floats up, turn the fuel back on and gently lower the bowls noting the point where fuel just begins to flow. This should be as the line on the floats is parallel with the bottom of the carb.

Main symptom of the fuel being too low is that bike refuses to go much more than 60/70 mph. When adjusting the tab that bears onto the bottom of the float needle, you want to aim to have the tab bearing straight onto the bottom of the float needle.
