Man, great racing today...Hayes is on his game, and Cardenas...the "kid" is on a roll.

It would have been great if Cardenas had stayed in superbike, I'd bet he would give Hayes a run for his money.

Surprise for me were the pumpkins (two of 'em in the race), Fillmore was going really well, best for the year on the KTM...until turn nine.

First time out to the track (first time to a race other than San Jose mile in the late 80s): we had a blast! Great competition, very exciting to watch and a beautiful day. I can't wait to go again!

Eslick was fun to watch and it was cool to see him so fired up in the post race interview. Hoping for good results again today.

Again with a EBR podium! Getting that thing to turn. Good to see! Congratulations

Great finishes by the EBR team, some thrilling racing in Pro Super Sport (wish I had Speed2) and some very good results by the locals in DSB, Super Sport and XR1200. Good weekend of AMA racing.

The announcing was interesting "we're about to begin our TTXGP race..." as the lead rider goes past the start finish on his 3rd or 4th lap. Other than that and the lackluster attendance, it was a great weekend of racing. Acutally the lack of people really helped to make it easy to move back and forth between the big track & the SM track throughout the day.

Pretty good racing all around. Extra kudus to EBR and KTM, Hayes for his great finish after his accident, and Barnes in the XR1200 class, Tough break for Rapp. Odd that the BMWs are still struggling in AMA yet doing pretty well in WSB/WSK.

Anyone notice when they showed Cardenas walking towards the fence (after his eggbeater crash) that someone with a 950SE (with what looked like a 17/17 setup) pull up and offer him a ride? Wonder if it was an inmate.

no help whatsoever from BMW to the teams running their bikes in AMA just privateers (even Pegram) with dealer help. Notice no roundels on bike!

BMWs aren't really doing that well even in BSB now.

Glad to see the EBRs shine. And Fillmore.

Race 2 superbike only had 14 finishers.

If Tommy Hayden continues to perform like this, he should not lose this ride. Yamaha/Graves had better step up.

Interesting times in AMA Pro.

He might win the championship if he is not careful.

Wouldn't that be kinda funny? In a good way I mean. Start a year without a ride, get called up to relief ride, go on to win a championship.

Announcing

I had a ball at Infineon. It was great interviewing Michael Barnes on podium for his first pro win since 1996.
