Would you buy your bike again?
What do you ride now and would you buy it again today?
Or do you wish you had tried something else? I bought a Buell Lightning last summer. It was that or a Triumph Speed Triple. I only think about the Triple when it's hot and the Buell is cooking my leg. So I don't regret my decision, it was right for other reasons, but I think about it. Now I'm looking to add a ADV type bike and I'd like to hear how you guys feel about your various bikes. |

Super Tenere and definitely Yes.
For me it's just about spot on. If a XT900 was released with the same attention to detail as the 1200 I might be tempted to go there. The way they have managed the off road manners of this bike makes me suspect that an Xt900 would be amazing. Everyone's mileage will vary of course. ![]() Very happy camper.

I ride a 2007 ninja 250, and while I would buy it again, I do wish I hadn't traded my klr250 for it.. :'( I keep looking for another one, just haven't found it yet.
The ninja is a great bike though, just wish I had stayed dual- sport. :Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk |

Triumph Tiger 800 XC, loving it and would definitely buy again.

XT660Z Yamaha Tenere.
Brilliant bike - would definitely buy again. Won't be right for everyone though - 48 bhp an' all. |

My current bike is a '05 955i Tiger, I'll let you know if I'd have bought it again after I sell it....
Of the 30 or so bikes I've owned over the years these are the ones I wouldn't buy again... '82 V45 Sabre Honda '83 920 Midnight Virago (my first cruiser, nice enough bike, just never fit me like I thought it would) '87 XT350 '93 Kawasaki Voyager (nice bike, but a two wheeled car just isn't for me) Bikes I've owned, and still wish I had.... '72 SL100 Honda (my first bike) '82 IT465 Yamaha '89 Pacific Coast Honda '00 KLR 650 '05 R1200GS BMW Bikes I wish I had bought when the gettin' was good..... '79 CBX Honda (still on my bucket list) '84 IT490 Yamaha '91 VMax Yamaha '94 Pacific Coast Honda '02 Africa Twin (while I was working in Dubai) Current bikes that would be in my garage if a ship ever does come in... Victory Vision (ok, maybe I am old enough now for a two wheeled, 2up, car FXDWG, then I could finally say I owned a Harley.... ![]() Triumph Rocket III Roadster...yeeee haaaaa Ducati MS1200, never owned a Ducati either, and this one looks like a hoot without being an ergonomic torture chamber. KTM 990, a man sized dirt bike... ![]() R1200GSA...to complete my bucket list rides around the country & Canada on... ![]() I know it's more than you asked for, but I'm off shift, and there isn't much to do out here in the Saudi desert....

Harley Davidson Street Rod, entertaining but would not buy another Harley, out performs just about any other Harley currently available. (If you like corners) I can now say I have owned a Harley.
Buell Ulysses, it was a leg cooker but a very entertaining all use/ all roads bike. I would buy another. Mr Buell knows how to make a bike handle. Triumph Speed Triple, brilliant engine and entertaining ride. I would buy again, although the ride is a little harsh. The rest in no particular order: Kawasaki GPX750 (Ninja) typically Kwaka, yes I would buy another, Kwaka fours just seem different to other Japanese fours. Suzuki GSX1100ESD, a bit bland and boring, no would not have bought another. Suzuki GSX750ED, a bit boring but my first Suzuki road bike. No would not buy again. Yamaha IT490 an absolute ripper, wish you could still buy big bore 2 strokes, yes I would buy again. BMW K100RT a comfortable all day rider, yes I would have again, went through 2. BMW R100RT, Gurt had character, didn't like cold mornings. Probably not. Honda CB750 yes the original "Superbike" it tried to kill me on a regular basis but surprisingly enough as it got older had character. If I could afford an original example I would have to have one again. Honda CB550, dreadful for leaking oil via its gear change lever and heavy and gutless, no way. Kawasaki Z650 two versions the original then the twin disc model, great bike, great engine, yes I would buy again. Suzuki TS185ER, love the smell of two stroke in the morning. Yes I would buy again. Kawasaki KL250H Sherpa, great little bike that just keeps on keeping on. Yes I would buy again. Honda SL70, gee whiz I loved that bike but always lusted after the XR or even a YZ

![]() So...I've gone for a Uly. Picking it up tomorrow & looking forward to a wet ride home. I expect there are some areas where the Buell is going to be better and other areas where the Triumph is better....but the driving thing for me is I want to try it. I would buy my Tiger again . I won't be able to give an answer on the Buell until I've tasted it properly, though.![]() Sometimes, loving your bike too much suppresses the desire to be adventurous and try something else. Jon |

Guzzi Stelvio 1200, '08 Model. Definitely. Road miles only so far, may change my mind when more gravel is involved in the forthcoming years, but suspect not.
