If it will not support a charger where is the best place to hook up a charger?

Yo Larry! You landed in the land of the grumpy old men! Probably get a motorcycle designed charger with a 2 pole plug and hook it up to the battery, let the plug hang out the side so you can hook up your battery--no perfect solution required, you are welcome to improvise.

Or if you can find a powerlet connector, use that to connect your charger to the bike.

Sometimes, people, it's better to just help the tourists and let them think what a nice bunch we actually are. . .

Thumb /5 BMW Upper Triple Fork Clamps

I just got done building another cafe BMW out of a /5.
I had a top clamp CNC machined and we made about 10-15 more to see if there was any interest. We are going to sell this first batch at $180 each. If they sell out, after that, we will make more and sell them for a bit more. i want to do a few minor changes on the next batch.

The headlight ears require the same amount of trimming as the Toaster Tan and San Jose upper fork braces (If memory serves, about 17mm).
The upper fork funnel-securing nut goes inside the pocket.
Then the top fork cap screws into the pocket so it isn't sticking out above the top clamp. It is all neatly set into the top clamp.

This part is why it won't work on other BMW's. The pinch bolt is hidden on the inside of the of the clamp. That pinch bolt area takes the space of where the instrument bracket bolts to the top clamp on a /6-/7-R90S-R100S.
So if you want this on a R100S, you will have to figure out an alternative instrument solution.

Contact me via the email if you want one.

i can sell you a center nut too in brushed or polished for $40 too.

-josh

Key and Lock not needed!
I'm wanting to run a tank bag on my g/s and have the old style. If there's a universal part that allows for convenient venting that'd be great.

Need right side battery cover

Right side cover for a '78 /7. Having a wonderful extended ride yesterday. During a short stop/break noticed an empty hole where there once was the right side cover. Trip was on pavement.

Please PM or notify your preferred method.

Thanks Dave

fuel cap '80 R100

OEM gas cap for an R100, 1980? Mine will be in pieces by the time I get it off, and pretty ugly at that.

I have a spare but don't recall which side since I'm running neither. Same as my sig.

***Eh of course, I have the one that can't fall off.

r100rs seat

WTB an R100rs seat. Twin shock bike is what I have. The two up version is what I prefer. Paint doesn't matter as long as it is straight. Same with the cover as long as the pan is solid. Would be interested in parts and pieces as well. Looking to convert a bike to a cowl type seat and am open to offers. Thanks guys and gals!
