This is a very nice set of used BMW hard pannier bags. $300 for the pair plus shipping.



There are barely any signs of use indicative to luggage this age, this is a fine pair and ready for many more miles. They are not 100% perfect, however, as there is some light light road rash on the right hand bagvisible in the photos but it is very light and you have to be within a foot of the bags to even notice. They are structurally sound no cracks or major damage. The hinges are intact and the four case latches do function correctly. The mounting latches have been tested and work just fine.



I have done My best to accurately depict the overall condition as well as any details of serious note. I have taken very detailed photos of the items so please take a moment to inspect them closely and ask any questions you might have before bidding.


Bags were removed from a 1983 BMW R80RT that was converted to a cafe racer. I also have the mounting system available for purchase. Feel free to email me about the mounting system or any other RT parts as I converted it to a naked cafe racer.

RE: Bags.

I cant see the latches in the rear of the bag but I have a pair nearly identical that fit a 93 GS. If they have just the hook type rear latch (rather than the seat belt buckle style) that catches on the carrier frame these would work on GS models.

I might be interested.

If so, stant automotive caps (locking or non-locking that fit 1990s ford products and many other american cars) fit with no problems.

If that is your type of cap you can also go to a salvage yard and get a stock cap from a ford or lincoln that has the little captive tether on it. The airhead gas cap trim ring fits right into the groove that the tether uses in car applications.

Damhik this, but it has to do with owning a lincoln and a 83 r80 st and having too much time on my hands while dealing with a recalcitrant bmw gas cap.

Edit: I just checked the max bmw fiche and it looks like you have the same type i have. When i installed the stant cap as my daily use cap, i'm pretty sure i drilled a 1/16" hole through the vent part on the underside to ensure proper venting of the tank.

looking for a seat for a 1978 /7 or equal, ideally one that has the little first aid kit compartment - really, all i want is the pan, the vinyl can be crap and I don't want to spend on a lot;)

I have a Luftmeisiter oil temperature gauge/dipstick. If you may remember these take the place of the stock screw in dipstick. I have a 83 R100RT and it is the same length as the stock dipstick and I bought it from a friend of mine who had it for R80. I never used it but recently checked the accuracy and it is right on.
