Question BMW R100GS vs PD?

Can anyone tell me what the main differences are on the BMW R100GS and the Paris Dakar Model? Suspension etc? I notice a higher front fender and skid plate. Possibly a larger tank. Anything else?
Thanks in advance.

Pretty much the big tank and graphics, and some bodywork, which I always forget about because I removed it anyway I dont believe the suspension or any drive ratios are different. Minor stuff.

Fuel tank

skid plate

That's all

All of the above, & price & saleability.... More demand for the GSPD version.

Parting out R80G/S

I am starting to pull this thing apart.

I have a complete exhaust system, say $400
The collector was powdercoated 5+ years ago, and the exhaust is an ST, a chromed one. Custom heat shield free!

I also have both wheels, the rear brake is pretty good. Front rotor has some wear grooves, but also pretty good. Tires can be included, but not much left on them. I would like to get $600 for the set.

Front:

Rear wheel:

closeup of rear brake:

I would rather sell the wheels as a set, bgoodsoil on this board wants the rear wheel and rear end. I think I am going to keep the engine and drivetrain, however. If I do break up the wheel set then Brad gets the rear wheel.

There is a clock, as well. $100.
works just fine. It comes with mount, screw & nut, and rubber grommet.

More bits coming.

Wtb the spring that pushes the clutch actuator arm away from the transmission. My transmission is off a 75 r75/6 if that matters.

Also still looking for front signal stalks.

I have a Reynolds Ride Off stand in chrome I'm interested in a swap for a black one for a slash6.
I'm not sure what year mine is for because the spring eyelets won't match up with my stand, most likely a newer model.

They could use a new coat of paint.

$20 + shipping?

PM me in case I forget to check this thread.

I'll take them! PM sent

bumpity bump...

The panniers and/or complete system is still available. I'm motivated to make a sale and/or trade. Contact me via email (as in not ADVrider PM). if interested.

Thanks,
Carl

They sell new for $545 plus shipping. Spring sale cost of $395 plus shipping. I'll make a package deal if your also interested in the mounts and mounting hardware.

No outside the States sales. International postal shipping costs on a monstrous box are not feasible and two large boxes for them packaged individually is a bit pricey.

Email (as in no ADVR PM!) if you're interested.

Thanks,
Carl
