All parts were recovered and I installed a new throwout bearing, thrust washer and push rod with the help of others on this board.

All maintenance is up to date including spline lube, and exhaust nut antiseize. All fluids have been changed recently, but it will be due for a service at 45K miles. Carbs have been rebuilt and balanced and I've installed a digital ignition for reliability (and the points needed replacing). Even has a brand new AGM battery and Corbin saddle.

Of course there are some minor issues. The tachometer glass is broken and glued back together. The push rod gaskets leak enough to collect dirt but not drip on the floor of the garage. The paint is not original and some chrome is not perfect.

I have invested quite a bit of money into this bike but would like to get $2800.

1975 R75/6 For Sale $3400 Albany NY

Hi I am selling my 1975 BMW R75/6. It is in good running order and I just replaced the battery with a Odyssey agm. The paint isn't perfect and does have some nicks and chips, the tires are in good shape, it starts right up, all the directionals and lights work, there is a very small amount of oil leaking from the oil pan but I purchased a new gasket to fix that.

I also have the owners and Clymer manual. I bought the bike four months ago before I got my license and after a few close calls I realized riding isn't for me so I figured I would give fellow airheads a chance before I put it on craigslist.

I am the fourth owner it was bought new at Berkshire Motor Works in Schenectady. The third owner said it had 17,000 when he bought it back in 2001 and there is documentation in the manual to support that. He also said that the speedometer stopped working and was replaced so the current odometer reading of 78,000 is wrong and the true mileage is 28,000. I can't know for sure but looking at the lack of wear on the bike I tend to believe him.

I am planning on leaving the ad up here for a week or so then posting on craiglist if you have any questions or want more photos please let me know.

Kevin

You know those little cones that act as washers when you're putting on the rear wheel on a mono-lever? I need two of them. Anyone have a couple to spare?

Anybody in the bay area?

I have a /6 frame and wheels and a set of snowflake mags (rear disc). $40 each. If they aren't gone in two weeks you can have them. I am moving shop and they aren't coming with me. I don't have time to ship them if you are interested and not in the bay area.

Oil head tranny and parts too for free. Non op but still a lot of good parts.

Took me 10 miles to discover this, 77 more before I capitulated...

New was $90.

Slightly used- $50+shipping seem fair?
How about rotating thehandlebars to a different position instead ?
