Up at 4 AM.. with the concrete contractor. It rain really hard last night and we had a quorum at 5:15AM to decide to put off the pour or chance it.

Lighting was striking all around but the moon and stars were still shinning.
Walking the job and the ground was really soft. Hopefully we can pour in the morning.

I decided to pick up the 30 ton press myself.. damn thing is heavy

Lifted it out of the Sprinter .. got it on a cart and strapped it down and rolled her in.

This is a fantastic building project. Really appreciate your extra work to document it for us to see, learn and drool over.

Also very pleased to read about your desire to spend time and teach your young fellow by your side. I love it.

The concrete crew just arrived. It was so peaceful and the night air was 56 degrees

Cabinets and carpet in the stairway were installed the last two days.

The cabinets were left over from a remodel of the house. We decided to
not place those cabinets in the den. They almost look like a custom order.
We are building a marble desk top using material we have.

Top is finished for the office and started to put the knobs on the draw bin.
Final inspection was order for today but we cancelled when the HVAC was not connected and
all the plumbing fixtures were not connected.

Took advantage of the time to get some of the little things done.

Your shop looks great. I will have to let you know when I'm in the neighborhood. Right now I'm getting busy getting ready for that ride from Payson to Young and back next weekend.

Bob the block guy showed up at 6:30 this morning and started on the retaining walls. Another change we made. We are going to cut 25ft of the old wall and instead of tossing the block into the landfill we are going to make
AB out of it and use it for back fill.

The added space under the deck will house Atv, garden tools and projects.

The deck will sit above the retaining walls on columns of block 12 x 16



Another view, the space between the new retaining wall and old wall will become a herb garden (nice and shady)

I was crusing around CL this afternoon and came across this welding table.

Price was right, it was on wheels which I wanted, it was smaller 4 x5 feet that would be great to wheel outside to weld and it was heavy 3/4 steel plate with cross members.

He also had a vise on it before. The holes are pre-drilled. $350 delivered to me. This tables wt almost 400 lb

We also have running water, a toilet that flushes and a shower with hot water. Now, if I can only get the shower doors and the rest of the doors up ..it would be great

Picked up a nice Walton 4 inch vise today for the welding table.

The seller's father was a tool hoarder.. great condition.. $80 for a nice
Walton .

The seller of the welding table called earlier and said he would sell the Miller 211 .. if I wanted it. $675 with a cart couldn't say yes fast enough

The office is finished off. We had bamboo floor from my old fitness studio. I kept it knowing I would need flooring for the garage. Turned out pretty nice.
