steps and rock wall
The steps and rock wall turned out great. Before pouring the steps we put in plastic sleeves so we could run low voltage wires and water lines without having to dig them out.
The footers were set and we went two rows .. to let the footer dry before loading the rest of the wall. All the rock seen on the wall is from my property. When they were digging and scraping the yard I told them to leave all the larger pieces. They could have left me another 20 tons and I still would have used it. The excavation companies charge you to take away the dirt. They clean and separate the rocks and then resell them to other contractors. They were kinda pissy when I told them I wanted the rock in a pile in the corner of the property. ![]() ![]() ![]() Now I have time to unload/unpack some of my treasures. R90/6 small and big tanks and wixon bags ![]()

The long process
The hardest part of moving in is putting evening away.
Made a spread sheet and have named the shelve and bin numbers. Each piece will be entered in the XL file so when I look for it .. I know where it is or if someone needs a piece I can see if I have one. ![]()

Seriously, nice job on the build and plan.

barn door
Quote:
There are companies that will sell the barn door sliding slides. I used rustica hardware. They were pretty easy to work with. They will also sell you the metal rack .. but I had mine made by a welder. 3 inch stock x 3/8 inch. You can measure the room and can make one long piece rather than two pieces that you will have to put together. I think it looks better as one and it really works well. The doors I found on CL. They came out of an office building . Heavy / fire rated doors. Good luck
