Glad my Adventure's sexy sister is still holding up. Gotta love those K60's. They should come standard on all 990's
Ewan and Charlie should have picked the KTM instead of the BMeers.
Yeap Maya barring one or two things is going well, being lovingly tortured most day she is doing well.

Yes the K60's are great, 21200 out of the last one, interesting tho this one is about 3 mm wider each side so some changes from the original one to this, no complaints all good.

1.5 Years On The Road

This time 18 months ago or 1.5 years ago we left New Zealand for our 1.0 - 1.5 years on the road, here we are at 1.5 year and we have not even reached the equator

So today is our 1.5 year on the road celebration here in Cali, Colombia

Must be something about them Christmas babies hating banks.....I know a few of them and we all seem to share the same feelings. My old coffee cup with the "scales" on it even stated that....most Libras hate banks.

Good Luck with WellsFuckedup and congratulations on the 1.5 years on the road.

Aguardiente to celebrate??? I stay off the Rum usually. Had a few yesterday, some with yellow Ducati parts in my hands next to the woodstove.Had I known we could have "toasted up" to the Kiwis.

Heya Pierre

Great to hear from you mate, yeah we scoffed ANOTHER bottle of rum last night, it only lasted till 1.20 am then it dried up, no tiendas open then

Aguadiante today and Chinese dumplings with Colombian tropical fruit

That will flush away the wellsfuckwits woes temporarily

Will toast your reply

You better celebrate with that old BV road plenty of nice folks along the way to help you celebrate

I even had a kiwi with me JoeBlogs out of GoldenBay on the rightside.

Worth the effort to take the old BV road and getting to San Cipirano is fun ride too:

Neiva To The Finca

A very family orientated post and true Colombia at its best, not much moto or travel stuff today, this really was a relaxing on the ground day with Diegos family for which are very grateful for being invited to join in.

Being Sunday morning Diego and his family go to grandmas casa about half an hour away to enjoy a family day out .... and we can see why, very welcoming family, the Finca (Farm) has a huge swimming pool, volley ball court, soccer field, 3 dogs, a super cool cat that looks like a tiger and a horse.

With lunch planned on the way we took Diego, his mum and sister out for a family lunch (Dad is studying) at a thermal pool place then off to the Finca to enjoy the afternoon or snacks, natural juices and coffees while stuffing around in the pool and riding the horse ... it was harsh.

Diego and sis with us

No need to write about this

At the Finca Maya created a little interest so we stuck her up on the centre stand so family and friends could have a sit and see what we have to put up with

Biker chica mum aboard the mighty Mayan...... go girl!!!!

Even Grandma sat on the steel pony ...awesome

The horse correspondingly created interest, hot horse chica

He seemed happy enough so not sure why the long face

I had a hoon on the neddy too taking him for a hoon around the property

Diego and I, I had a word to the horse and told him to be nice

A lite tea was had, the rice that is cooked in the pig, just beautiful, sorry bout my woolly belly in the pic, next time I will try and find a supemodel or hot Colombian chica to do it

A finish to the night in the pool, have camera will take pics

We stayed the night there, waving goodbye to Diego and his family after a very nice day out they headed for home back in Neiva.

Next destination, San Agustin.

Thanks Diego, a real pleasure meeting you and your family and thank you for showing us your “locale”, when you guys come to New Zealand we can show you our back yard.

PS that 950 suits you sir ..!!

Old BV is washed out, no bueno at the mo , did a part ride only to be turned back, they have had some epic rain there which has taken out bridges and road as well, last night in Restrepo we couldn't go were we wanted so had to do a u turn again.

Back out from the main BV road the trucks, cars and buses were lined up 10 km long.

We snuck to the front of the line again not understanding the Policia whistle and getting through to do 90 km in the dark arriving home at 10:10 pm.

Love the Rigid Industries LEDS, worth more than gold!!

Here to see the place Jeff, no point in rushing, we can do that when we get home

...and yes it IS very much about the ride, the places you see and the people you meet which really make it.

Thank you for coming along ... lots more to come as we will be probably another year and a bit to the bottom

Wicked Hi Andi and Allen

Sorry I havn't been on here for a few days so just caught up with all the happenings. Im back in NZ now , its been very cold . Took Mr Fukengruvin up to Cromwell to meet 2 x new grandkids ( twins ) and clocked up 73,000 miles on way home . Had coffee at Queenstown Yamaha and had a laugh wi Jenny there, as I went past WOF testing station I seen gruver Stuarts 800 BMW there so caught up wi him . No sign of Mal and Cag at Kingston , mobile humping hut wasnt there so will txt them . Sepang Motogp was good , I was hoping Valentino would have a good day as I seen him win there before and the locals still love him . 4th was his best , the Hondas had to much grunt out of the corners and when they got in front they were away . So whats yr plan when u get to the bottom of South America. Burt Munroe is later this month, Sid has bought a super quick Suzuki , clocked a crazy speed on straight at Teratonga , Kev has just bought a 748 frame and is putting his 1098 motor into it to try and catch Sid . Keep the pics and stories coming , Cheers Toddy

Heya Norbert and Greti

Thanks man, as YOU well know it has not been all smooth.

If you want when we meet up down south we can swap the van for Maya on rainy days ... I wouldn't do it for anyone else

No worries not on a moto mate, do it in the van will be great, if you are a good boy you guys can take Maya out as well, I know you are a capable lad.

Looking forward to catching up and finally meeting the lady who puts ups with you

Cheers Andi & Ellen
