You guys have seen some incredible places in Perú! Few RTW riders actually take the time to explore all the amazing backroads and document it properly. Thank you for taking us along!

Heya Salvi

Great to hear from you mate, hope life is treating you well.

There are some great places in Peru to check out and mostly in the national parks you find these gems if you are prepared to venture off the main drags a little.

Certainly a pleasure to explore and a bigger pleasure to be able to share with you guys

Heya azhar

Happy new year to you too .... there is a bit to catch up on ... lots of cool pics ... pic worth a 1000 words so that will save a heap of reading

Will probably finish off in South America for this round, down to Ushuaia for Christmas and New Year then woft our way back to Santiago and ship out back to New Zealand.

I think the $$$$ will be near to or run out by then so back to back to save for the next round.

Next round hopefully back to Iceland, scandy, euro then russia, stans, china and up to Anadyr if possible.

That is the bigger picture but lots to do in between times and things change.

I will be sad to see this leg of the journey end. So, I'll be wishing you some major windfall so you can get your arses back out on the road again without delay.

Heya Trane ... yeah I will be sad to finish it too but when the bank account gets flat there ain't much we can do, would be cool to see if we could sell some pics or something but that would be one hard avenue I would think.

Go home, sell some more stuff, work hard for a bit and get back out, unless we win lotto

Again cheers for your cool props.

Cheers Andi

Shipping home to NZ

Check out shipping from Buenos Aires and paying in US$. Could save you a lot. Might cost 20% more but you are paying with 50 cent $.

Cerro Azul To Paracas And The National Park

Sand ... but friendly ...well mostly

Down the Pan Am .... not a lot of fun and certainly nothing worth writing home about ... until Paracas

Paracas is a cool settlement on the beach ....lotsa white faces there.. gringos !!, the place was spendie for what it was nonetheless it was nice.

It’s gem the Reserva National De Paracas which is only 5 minutes from town, this opens up into an unusual place laden with sand dunes and cliffs and colours beyond belief.

So we have seen some pretty cool stuff thus far in Peru and for me this was chart topping stuff, although we have stunning scenery like in Huascaran National Park we do not have stuff like this in New Zealand ... or at least not where we live.

The atmosphere is very lite here too

While in Cerro Azul we met some french overlanders in a cool truck and we met them again in Paracas after chatting with them about the park.

In the park there are several main drags to go down then you can branch off from there to the various coves, hills, cliffs, sea, sand and spectacular vistas

Now we struck it right with the weather knowing that others had hit fog taking away the breathtaking views, we can now show what is there.

We also spent the evening out and caught the sunset

This is how you keep fit while traveling

This stuff was soft tho

A few pics and not much more writing on this report but you can see why.

Paracas - The Town

Not all cool things were in the desert, while in Paracas having lunch a 1200 GS rumbled into town, being nosy I had to have a look and duly met Nick and Kanchan an Indian born couple who live in Texas been travelling the world for three years.

Needless to say we had lots to chat about, very cool couple indeed.

The beach was also a lure water the water fairly cool even by Ellens standards, there was some nice boats parked in the bay.

There was a cool Russian truck too with Argentinian plates, we didn't get to find the owners tho, would have interesting talking with them.

Surprisingly there was a bit of pussy at our hostel ..... and some kitten that provided a lt of entertainment hooning around in reception.

Nice place to hang out for a few days, pretty laid back and friendly.

Never seen so many front page photo candidates on one thread! A few from this page could very well find their place on HU calendar! Wow! Thank you so much for sharing.
