Damn Gordy you sure got to this party late. It's all been said, but thanks for the advice. Actually no rage at all, at least not from me.

Goergie, Goergie, Goergie. Amalia is no where near as touristy as Taos.

You, guys know where Amalia is?

Actually, I was in this thread long before you graced it.

I've just been a bit busy enjoying where I live, doing some riding and hanging with friends.

So.........how goes it in Alamogordo? Wanna go ride some mountain trails this weekend?

Never mind, you wouldn't like it and you might get robbed going through Espanola.

I'm sneaking through there tomorrow. I know I'm rolling the dice one too many times, and it involves going right through Alb. too.
Crazy talk, eh?

I'll post up some pics if I make it.

I love the riding in New Mexico. I have never been disappointed in any riding area, and not afraid of going through locations here. I was really just trying to say that one should not judge New Mexico, or make a decision to relocate here based purely on tourism infomercials or a one or two day stop on the way through. Look below the surface and it is much different. But I would also encourage anyone relocating to anywhere to do the same.

When someone asks for "Pros and Cons", as Tom did, then I will give pros and cons. At time of my post I had no pros to give. So sorry.

Yikes, this thread has gone in some odd directions. I think I'll post this one last reply then sign off, it's getting weird in here.

Once I got to Montana and headed west to home, I realized how much I like the green and I need that to part of my life. Not too much green in NM, at least not like up here in the north, so gotta do some serious cogitating about that. It's sunny and warm in the NW today but tomorrow is supposed to be cold and rainy, maybe that will change my mind!

I rode through all lot of beautiful places that last 4 weeks and have some new options. In the meantime, I hope to get some feeling back in my hands and see if I can remember where I work.

Thanks for all the opinions.

Tom

No, not quite like the northwest or the northeast for that matter, but there is plenty of green in NM. Just gotta know where to look.

Enjoy whatever you decide to do.

LoriKTM, you should be ashamed posting pics of Kansas and then trying to pass them off as New Mexico.
