Hey, instead of sending you yet another check, how 'bout I just send one blank one and you fill in the appropriate amount??

Here's another look at the Old Fort Chiswell Mansion from my ride yesterday. This is a fair amount of time monkeyin' around with Photomatix, and some other stuff. I was trying to replicate the look of an old linen postcard:

You get way better results by bracket shooting. You can also do tone mapping with a single picture.

Sun, clouds, rain, snow, granite, road, lines, and color of bike came together nicely with the tabletop tripod on a tree stump capturing the bracketed images. At Squaw Pass a couple of days ago...

WHAT???? No bike??? And I'm not old enough to know what a linen postcard is!!!
I have Photomatix, Adobe Elements, and FastStone Image Viewer,,,, but don't take time to use them to any degree.
Guess I take photos like I ride,,,,, half-fast!

Just want to say thanks for starting this great thread, what a fun tool HDR will be. Took my first bracketed pics this morning and used the free download linked on the first page to give this a whirl. Obviously I've got a lot to learn, lots of fun in the process, though

sfarson, I may need to come to Colorado to borrow a few bikes from you. Wow! Nice picture and bike.

Excellent pics everyone. I'm happy to see so many trying HDR for the first time.

Heres another from the neighborhood. Went out to do some fishing today and snagged this shot. Yes, there is the watermark, but I tried photoshop to do some HDR and it was a royal pain compared to Photomatix Pro, so I just abandoned PS and opened up Photomatix. Told the wife to get it for me for Fathers Day

We're moving to the beach next month so no more mountain shots for a while, unless I can sneak in one more short trip before the move.
