Check the WERA/CCS classifieds at the end of the year. Cats just dump their old race bikes for next to nothing. Expect a little bit of duct tape and "creative engineering" but the bikes will be safety wired and set up already. Same with gear, I've not spent more than $300 on a suit in about 10 years, I just grab them secondhand off guys that put on a couple to many pounds for the suit + back protector A guy gave me a set of Held Phantoms that I basically can't wear, they are the right size, but they weren't broken in to my hands so everything pinches and bends wrong and they actually hurt after an hour or two. |

With me it varies wildly, I usually have a jacket, boots, FF lid and gloves at a bare minimum, but I may have a 2pc (occasionally a one piece). I've also had decades to collect crap so I have about 3 gloves two boots 3-4 jackets 2 pants, two one pieces at any given time, and I dress according to activity/weather. I don't own any textile, everything is leather, and I'll throw raingear over it if I must. |
