....then you'll see he's up to the part about his 2nd breakdown...more on that in a second.

This has been a great trip, some solo riding interspersed is good for the noggin:

Daylight failing and with a new mechanical problem of my own I had to snap a few, I want to get to Keylong and email Mark, knowing he'll pass me in the night. I'd drive on but there is one pass after Keylong and I'm barely making it up any incline...skipping teeth on a heavily abused rear sprocket...

One for you Trace:

I make it, check back into Tashi Deleg to see our friends there (I'm liking this showing up and being known), they attack me with luggage handlers, even putting the bike away for me. I'm pretty smoked. The last 30 KM took about 3 hours...the next morning, I'm off to the mechanic and am greeted by some of Keylong's citizens:

On my way back from dropping the bike off I see some dudes tamping wool I think with these banjo axe looking things...I've been looking them up on the net but don't know what they're called yet.

The shop:

A great guy, fast, confident and good at his craft:

Used and abused:

He's done within hours and I'm off before noon:

I stop to talk to this bicyclist from Spain, he's gathered the people working this field together for a photo, I marvel at his marshaling them together, so I stop and chat, he's bicycling from Manali to Leh and is actually making more time than he wanted to...Leh by July 3rd:

What a morning...this side of Rhotang pass, it's quiet, and green...

Heck you could have ridden one of them Ponies and not be as tired in that 30 KM...

True, but I wouldn't have known what the hell to do with the thing...never even rode me no horse...nope...

Give my other horse ridin' friend a slap on the rump for me.

That's what I think of this trip! Keeping up with you Bill, enjoy and be safe.

If you make it to the Seattle area you got a place to stay, just across the Puget Sound on Bainbridge Island.

Awesome Mike, I love the people of PNW!

It's been a great trip, Mark was just saying how crazy it is that we're about to wrap up my chapter. It's true. It always goes by too fast.

We just had a great ride back from the mechanic, bikes are in stellar shape, mine has new shocks, a full new luggage rack, carb serviced, oil changed, new rear sprocket and wheel bearing(s), cables, tightened, mirrors, repaired...tuned, it's really running like a champ and feels great. I can't wait to ride it to Delhi.
