I just moved to Columbia, and don't know shit from Shinola about the town. Help a brother out.... What are some cool things to do and see here?

Are you a Gamecock fan?

If the answer is no, then leave town now.

Not sure about riding in Columbia, but there is good riding in the Sumter National Forest off of I26. I'm always looking for a reason to ride if you want someone to show you the ropes...

As far as Columbia in general... The vista area is nice.

That was funny, and I'm not a Gamecock fan...and I work with/for a LOT of chicken lovers.

The best thing to see/do in Columbia, is Columbia in your mirror as you head to Western N.C.

Columbia is a good place to drink, party, watch football & NASCAR, play golf, and ride a Harley. Then there is the lake.

BTW...most of the dirt roads are in Lexington Co, best trails 50 miles out to Enoree OHV.

Welcome to Columbia SC.

Yea, just go to Lake Murray. Or downtown drinking at the Vista or 5 corners. That's about it. But then again, haven't been there in about 3 yrs.

Become a big Cock fan. It's your only hope.

I don't know much about the town, but i do know you are right between the low Country and the mountains. Both of these places have a great deal to offer. I'm also a fan of little rural southern towns, so you're in a mecca of sorts.

Tomorrow..as in now today Sunday.

Taking back roads, dirt roads to Enoree OHV and then where ever on the 990, leaving in about one hour. Expect a 150 to 200 mile day.

Let me know something quick!

When I was a wee lad, knee high to a tall Indian my parents used to let me play out in the artillery range fields at Fort Jackson near Columbia.

Besides that the only thing else I remember is Lake Murray.
