single track anyone?

Headed to Barnwell Thursday evening, and will be cutting single track this weekend. Room I'm the house for 6 if you ride to hard Saturday to go home. Street legal not required. I'll get an email to the group shortly.

not sure my big DR with street-ish tires would do well on single track, but I'm free Saturday morning and going riding so maybe I'll swing by and say hello. I'm not on the email list though...

edit: the Saturday morning ride may become a Sunday ride instead. not sure.

headed back to Barnwell this weekend.

I'll probably leave tomorrow, Fri, around noon, drop dogs and wife at pond and go to office there for a couple hours. You're welcome to join for some riding Saturday single track and maybe a little dirt pathfinding to log best dirt route to the HoCat. I may spend Sat night or head back to Chas, not certain yet.

Number at the pond house is 803-259-7735. My cell is 843-224-2496

Took the Tenere and FJR out. Not bad with each.

We think alike, I rode those 2 also. I thought that I was going to like them both but really was blown away by the FJR. I read complaints that the recent update was not much of a change so it must have been a great bike before. The Tenere seemed kind of primitive after riding the FJR. Being a 2 cylinder I would have thought that the Tenere would have more low-end grunt than the FJR but it didn’t. The FJR pulled hard from 2000rpm or less, what an awesome bike!

Charleston- did you happen to pay attention to the drive mode on the Tenere? T mode is pretty mild in the lower gears.

I liked the Tenere and knew that compared power wise to the FJR that the FJR had more ponies. Yet, I thought the Tenere had more than enough for me. Nice mild mannered. As blood mentioned though. In sport mode the Tenere does have some nice get up and go above 3k. I did notice that the Tenere was a bit choppy on and off the throttle compared to the FJR. That might have been just me though. The FJR would make a very capable sport touring machine though and my wife liked the seat on it. Would need a backrest for the Tenere for her to like that one as she felt she would slide off due to the seat being slick.

Going to need to take a GS out to see how a side by side comparison is between the two.
