I had to get another number when i got back to the US last month, i just ran out credit though because was hoping to leave within a month but the side trip to NY helped me put the departure date off yet again...
I'll need to buy credit and i'll send you a msg with my new number.

A big issue i had was trying to find a baggage system to fit all my stuff.
There werent many options for the old XL
After much research (thank you Ford_Prefect) i decided on the wolfman racks for its light weight and waterproof side panniers.
Instead of having all soft bags and strapping everything on and off, i wanted a bit of security with a sturdy top box,
so i went with the caribou box which is waterproof and removable..
But the rack system for either didnt come stock.

I had a really generous offer from ADV GSequioa to give me a hand with customizing some racks together from BR Moto to fit the wolfman panniers and the Caribou top box

We used a top rack i already had but had to fix and weld.

Extra supports to extend the subframe and be able to use the top rack without the pannier racks

Cutting a plate to bolt on the Caribou top rack plate.

Welding on the bars and tabs to the hoops i got from br moto

Homemade tabs to bolt to the frame

Space to protect the bags from the exhaust

GSequoia recovery crew

After 2 afternoons

I asked Geoff to make the left hand side rack hug closer to the frame to fit a rotopak fuel can.

Thanks Geoff, really appreciate all your help!

No problem, now I want to see content on this here ride report, I sorta have to watch it now!

Also before anybody notices we know there is no brace between the two paneer racks. We didn't have a suitable tube handy without having to weld sections together. He'll be finding a place along the route that will do taht for him.

PS - When are we going for that ride? I'll try not to lose you by darting through traffic gaps while you're still getting used to a wider bike.
