Looks good, I am glad you were able to decide on a set up that suited you! I hope it works out really well for you!

Looking forward to the trip getting going.

By the way, when you added to that tank, did you increase the fuel capacity on there? If so by how much?

Thanks
Brian

Yep its weird to think i should have crossed south of the border a year ago and i probably would have finished my trip planning out the rest of my life..
Here i am 12months later, no more confident that i can do this in one piece... doh

Thanks for steering me in the right direction...
Funny, the luggage set up probably cost more than what i paid for the bike.

As far as the tank goes, unfortunately no improvement in functionality what so ever..
The only benefit will be in the aesthetically pleasing photos i'll be taking.

Are those sausages wrapped in bacon!!!

Dammit man there's a projected pork shortage been reported in the USA recently in the news, & just don't start being cynical & saying things like"isn't that just the way in the USA of putting the prices up on yet another food product!"

but you could be very near to the truth............................just sayin'......................

Looks like you got the bike running well.

After you used the other guys seat and tank you probably have a better understanding of some folks reation to your cutting your seat down . Padding is good in the rough.
Enjoying your tales. Have fun !

So im 1 day from finally heading south and this is what i look like..

I started the bike 3 days ago (i finally did work out the trick)
I got it going and warmed her up and as i was putting on my gloves and helmet it cut out.
Tried kicking her over around 4-5 times, i can normally get her going after the first lately so i thought id open the throttle and give it another ... She backfired and kicked back hard and my ankle bent sideways..

I sat in the gutter for around 15mins with my face scrunched up from the pain.
When i got my breathe back i checked it over and realised the fuel was low... doh
Switched it to reserve and gave it a weak kick.... brrrmmmm

I knew i hurt my ankle but rode through it and was able to kick it over a few more times that day...

Later that evening the pain got worse so i put it on ice and have been trying to rest it since..
3days later it still hurts..
