Another Bobber- Kind Of

I'm building a 30's style BMW. Starting with a 76 R90/6 with a pre war tank and headlight that will attached to a 1954 Steib sidecar.

All of my post are in the Sidecars

Sorry guys... that gig is taken

While Chris was working on his frame and fender, he was also helping me finish up my sub-frame and rear set mounts, and mounting a master cylinder for the rear disc.

Chris does accept the following forms of payment for access to his shop, tools and mentorship:

- Beer
- Friendship
- An open mind to try new ideas
- Cool vintage stuff... preferably made out of metal and showing patina
- An extra hand or two
- did I mention beer ?

Keep up the great work on Ol' Rusty Chris... Looking forward to seeing this one on the road

Wow, looking great! After being on Ironhead Sportster forums for so long, I automatically cringe whenever I see a topic with the words "bobber" in it. Nice work.

Thanks Lucky!! I have some friends that ride Ironhead's and yes the word bobber has almost become an ugly word especially when you see someone taking a mid 80's Japanese cruiser and calling it a bobber after they have made a mess of it. I didn't know what to call it since it has no rear suspension. I am going for the pre War BMW look like an R5 which is my favorite BMW.

But wait...the words "hard tail" and a snapshot of a rear shock...I'm confuzzled.

Like your new bumper stickers, BTW. Do I get one when my R90 cylinders and pistons come in from Germany?

Um, no - leading link forks, usually used for sidear duties

That is a leading link front end(/2 leading link) and yes you get one of the new bumper stickers when your P&C's come in:)
