I am 5'6". Try the Downtown if you don't mind the "touring" style. Perfect bike for the shorter rider, plenty of pep and great wind protection. And as I posted in another thread, it aint hard to get $1000 knocked off sticker. ![]() I was a little dubious of the styling in the pics and then saw one in person. They look pretty cool, go like stink, and ride pretty nice. I think they are a little abrupt over large bumps, but this is my first scooter and have nothing to compare it to, and I have not messed with the adjustable suspension. |

Vader thanks for the suggestion.
I like the Downtown and also think it impresses more in person than on the 'net. It is on a list of possibilities for sure. I'm having a ball with my new (to me) GTS so am actually thinking of going smaller instead of bigger. The Silverwing feels heavy compared to the GTS so maybe a 150. Until the swing sells it is a moot point anyway. If you haven't already done so, consider starting a thread with some photos and a review of your scoot. ![]() Ride safe |

Hi Jersey B :)
couldn't miss the fact you have a SYM dealer nearby. would they have any CityCom 300's available, leftover or otherwise? I know many praise those scooters, and a guy on the scootdawg forums has kept a journal of his ownership experience. he says one of the best things he likes about the CityCom is it is very DIY friendly. here is his thread http://scootdawg.proboards.com/index...d=16772&page=1 lot's of maintenance and mod info with pics, so if you DIY and get a CityCom that thread alone would be an invaluable resource to you |

Thanks DC!
Checked the web site and they aren't showing a Citycom in stock. I will be there next week for a tire install on the GTS and ask the status when I am there. I will also check out the scoot dog thread. Ride safe! |

Not sure why missing Woodstock would make you LOL, but I did get to the Isle Of Wight. Dylan (pre-croaking era), The Band, The Who (with Moon), etc. |

I missed Woodstock as well. Something to do with an all expense paid vacation in South east Asia.

OK, the Silverwing sold so now I'm down to just the Vespa. Since I don't have a car (wife takes hers to work) I like to have a 2nd bike around so, if I am working on one I can run to get parts and stuff with the other.
Oh, c'mon that is just an excuse - I like having 2 bikes! At the moment nothing is calling to me. Was thinking maybe a motorcycle but they are heavy and you have to shift - too much work! Nah. Today I saw a Yammy C3. Cool looking scoot but with a top speed of 40 and my big butt - probably not a good idea. Tho' Ill have to swing over to TotalRuckus and see what easy mods could pump that up a bit. Here in NC no insurance or plate is needed for a 50cc so that is a big plus. I'm really enjoying the Vespa so I don't want to get anything that is too similar. Maybe a Zuma 125? It has that sort of "off road" thing going for it. |

So you sold the Silverwing. Congratulations I guess. I still have fond memories of my Silverwing Demo ride.
I would love to own one. |

Next few days are busy so late in the week I will take off the weights and put in the dynabeads and hope the wobble is either minimized a lot or gone. |
