Anyone bought the Mikuni Carb. upgrade for their Honda Twin?

I purchased new Mikuni carbs for my 1971 CL 350 Honda twin. It comes with carbs, cable, & throttle sleeve & assembly by Motion Pro. My question is about the cable. It comes with bare ends and you have to put them on. The throttle sleeve side is straight forward. The carb. ends is what has me nervous. I put the cable on the carb top, put the spring on it and run it thru the carb. slide. I then have to slide a little brass piece on the cable and slide it up until it seats in the carb. slide. My thinking is to solder it in a location that puts very slight tension on the spring when the cables are all the way out (basically at idle position.). I'm probably over thinking this since I'm sure it would be close then use the top adjustment to tweek it when syncronizing. Thought someone else here probably did this and was curious how you did it.

yes, that was the first place I checked. I ended up figuring it out. Just took some time, several adjustments but I think I'm good now.
