Well an update ..good and bad

His shin splints have not healed well ..he has been medicaly discharged ...so what that means is he gets paid for a few months while his paperwork comes threw

he then get compensation ......but hes out of the army for 12 months to get his legs back into shape he can then reapply .....so not all bad

he's going to do his cert 3 in somthing i dunno i didnt listen real good to that bit

all i know is he can rejoin in 12 months or he was accepted in the airforce before the army but had to wait 2 yrs ,,so now this means he can maybe go straight to the chairforce ...much better

on another note ...he got his bike L's today so he's off to get his lams done and we have another rider to playwith ...he's looking at drz 400's

Son got his bike license yesterday
We are now looking for a first big bike for him ....DRZ400 ....XR400
Want something that can do the long travel's and is a good street bike as well
I am a Honda fan so i do lean toward the xr400 but no stock elec start and mods are limited .....drz400,never had a suzuki but they seem to be well liked and have a good rep for touring ....big aftermarket mods for them also

so im leaning toward a drz for him ....he wants a bike with 2 sets of rims ..motatd rims be best and dirt rims ...im looking at a few some close some far away ...they seem to hold there value well ..anything i need to look out for

good stuff to the young fella

been lookin for another drz aswell...
also search for klx400 ... they're the same bike and there's not as many people looking at them compared with the drz

here's one that looks quite tidy

they got a huge aftermarket.. safari does a 17 and 28 litrle tank and there is plenty more...
http://justgastanks.com/index.php?cPath=4_72_73

bash plates and racks are plentiful
have a look on fleabay.. the bling bits are endless

some of those alloy engine case savers are a must too.. they have magnesium cases that are pretty soft so the case covers are cheap insurance if he drops it

also the 400e is more for the dirt and the 400s is a little more roadable... (the s has a smaller carb and a few other minor differences)
i've had both and the e has more poke
the klx is the same as an e
