Prices
With the prices of bikes and stuff going on here I had to respond. I still have my original title to the Dover white 1960 BMW R-50 I bought new in 1960. I lost the title years ago and only found it after I cleaned out my mothers house after she died. I think a $1,000,000 price for it sounds fair and more than reasonable. It does have my name on it so that has to be worth a bunch. Come on, all BMW riders are wealthy, so what's a measly million, zillion dollars? Pocket change to BMW riders?
Item 2 - I heard another silly rumor going around BMW actually built bikes after 1970??? No, I didn't think that rumor was true. Everybody knows all REAL BMW's have earls front forks. |

It's not only eBay, recently at a bonhams auction here in the uk , there were some Brough motorcycles for sale, a colection of rusty parts sold for £58k, it was a relatively common brough bike (a 68osv I think). The rarer complete and looking to be in working order SS80 sold for £63k........which would you go for?

Found a few funnies.
$18.41 for a fistful of filthy fender fasteners. ![]() oh wait... only $20.73 for the front fender bolts. You'd think OEM bolts were gold plated under all that road grime. I don't know what high bastard would spend nearly $40 on a bunch of bolts, even for a concours resto. helion42 screwed with this post 12-09-2012 at 09:38 AM |

Should post on Flea-Bay
I just posted some leftover parts I wonder if I should Flea-Bay them? Together they might let me retire; the parts still have the stock patina on them! But then again, a /5 is one of them newfangled BMW's and that fad will fade soon. LOL!!
