I hate that that guy is local to me.

That guy sells/lists things under numerous names and they always get withdrawn from sale just befor auction end, many times hes listed his r51 as a chopper then a bobber and always withdrawn near the end, same with a matchless single, a triumph and a karman ghia, total ebay wanker

Australia needs it's own thread for this stuff, we've got so many jokers on ebay especially for motorbike stuff.
(P.S. I hope it is not an adv'er who is selling that!)

If its a frame with frame nos, then ( in the UK at least) you are halfway to getting it registered......then find the other components, usually a mixture of original and reproduction parts and you start to end up with with a vintage bike on a registration no that in the uk at least would reflect the age of the frame.

Buying vintage and classic bikes is a bit of a minefield, just think all those norton single cylinder featherbed frames got made into Tritons in the 60s, now the original singles are more valuable so the process goes into reverse.

It won't be. The number on the plunger frame is on the left rear plunger, which is missing. Based on his other listing, it could well be a Chang frame.

A replica? For $12,500? Gotta be delusional.

WAAAY over priced. Some kind of idiot selling this. They are the same people who run the Government and other things. They think that "replica" is somehow the same as "genuine". Get this kind of attitude from Cops and others in positions of authority. They are stupid, brain dead. No idea what reality is. They think that what we refer to as "plastic" is preferred.

I have a real picture of the Mona Lisa. I'd like a million dollars for it. It is exactly like the original. Photo taken by a well known and respected photographer.

I wouldn't expect a replica to have a MPH speedo and a Dyna unit hanging off the down tube. But otherwise it looks like a nice Airhead for a few thousand dollars. Not twelve thousand, though.

Which is why I am a firm believer in buy high-sell low.

Hey, somebody has to start the ball rolling!

^That's been my tactic in stocks lately. If anybody needs advice in stocks, give me a call, then do exactly the opposite of what I say!
