What does annoy me about the Duncan Beemers stuff, is that some of it is available new at a cheaper price. There is so much new stuff still available for our 35 year old bikes, much of it OEM.

You heard correctly. To watch grown adults shake in fear, yikes!
I was always so glad I was in the parts department and NOT the service department.

Yup! We need to show our support to the marque so they hopefully support us for another 35+ years.

I have the MAXBMW parts fiche on "speed dial."

I believe in supporting my local dealer and I've ordered a few things from Max on occasion. But I will have to be a little more frugal in the future if I can keep the bike. I believe I can but because of living in the middle Right Coast I must consider a cage as my primary year round transportation. Need to replace that with some kind of a 4 banger soon. I'm still driving an American V8, you wimps.

The problem is, those tanks were all warranteed by BMW, and the tanks were supposed to be destroyed and not resold. WHOOPS!
The dealer he got that from (if he did get it one from one) now has his ass hanging in the wind for BMW to notice . Course that was 18 years ago, but.....................you don't ever want to get auditted by BMW. EVER. it sucks worse than an IRS audit, trust me.
Nice goin' Duncans Beemers!
Interesting. Bill Buckingham in Seattle warrantied my '88 GS tank for a perforated weld at the forward mount back in 1990 or so. I never knew that it was a common problem. The knowledge brought to this place by yous guys is remarkable.

This guy is hilarious, look at his other stuff for BMW.
He must have gotten his pricing ideas from Duncans Beemers in MASS.

Does IBMWR count? I found it funny that this dude had a san jose-like brace that's more expensive than even the toaster tan...

I think he's referring to the lower brace, which SanJose was getting nearly $200.00 for, now they're hard to find. This may be the guy that's copying htem.

Now you've tickled my curiosity. Any pics of this lower brace?

As ridiculous as these prices are, somebody must occasionally buy else why advertise them?
