central Illinois to corinth, Mississippi

On 17May2012, JAKEBREAK (Mark) and I road to Corinth, Mississippi for an orginised ride put on by Sam Correro and sponsered by Lake Hill Motors as part of their 50th year in buisness celebration. Mark and I road to Moonshine, Illinois for a burger (1 & 1/2 hour wait for the burger, so we continued on). Just south of Moomshine we picked up a gps track that would take us south through the Shawnee National Forrest (a lot of gravel and off the beaten track) where we would camp for the night at the state park at Cave-in-Rock, Illinois. First thing the next morning we crossed the Ohio river into Kentucky on the ferry at Cave-in-Rock. We continued south across western Kentucky and then throught Tennesse and arrived at Hill Top Motors in Corinth, Mississippi around 2pm 18May2012. There were 4 riders already there. BigDog (Mark Sampson), Bash3r (Bill Asher) and 2 from Indiana we had met at a Dairy Queen and hour earlier RoadDad (Jerry Muller) & sorry, forgot your name. We then met Sam and got our rider packets and JAKEBREAK and I purchased the maps for the eastern TAT from Sam. By 6pm the store was full of riders and we were treated to a BBQ from Lake Hill Motors. EVERYONE at Lake Hill Motors is top notch!! VERY nice and helpfull group of people!!

Here are a few pics of the ride down and the ride itself:
