help/advice

ordering parts last weekend, discovered rally, joined forum.....shitting bricks excited to attend my first rally!

Help?:
1. ride the whole event with 1/8 center tread old rear tire
2. miss friday ride waiting for new tire in mail
3. run to local dealer slap tire new tire thur. ride the whole event, end up with two tires and hurt wallet

I ride klr250 and like trail, gravel, twisty pavement, and lastly straights (makes my bike feel slow).

I'm sure there will be several different rides for different skill levels.

Unless you're planning to ride technical off road trails, I wouldn't worry about swapping a new tire. Most forest service roads, gravel roads, etc can be negotiated with more than half worn tires IMO.

I have a beat to shit trackmaster that I think has a bit more than 1/8 center lug. 110/100 90 or something like that you are welcome to. Thats a hell of a sales pitch isnt it

Good thing you mentioned the Spill Guard, I think you want that more than the Pinot. Otherwise I woulda completely forgotten it! Except when I came across it randomly in some pants or room or somewhere in the next 6 months.

If the KLR250 has the same tire sizes as the KLR650 I have some take off knobbies.

Rear D606 130/90-17
Front Michelin M12XC 90/90-21

Both have about 1/2 the tread left on them
