Good grabbin. You can see the matador missile from the intersection of big daddy rd and hwy 111 ( big daddy's three ace's) I was looking for the crash site of the b52. The air force owns the land where the nuclear bomb hit the ground. Thanks for the history of the missile!

Lonewolf, I did a little searching for the bomber crash site and what I found said it was the east end of Big Daddys Road. Does that sound right? Is there anything to see?

Not much to see. The bomber caught on fire and broke apart in flight. Wreckage was spread over a 2 square mile area. One bomb floated down on a shute a landed in a tree. The other bombs shute didn't open. It buried itself in the ground. That is the area the air force owns. It is near Faro. I rode up and down big daddy, stan ray, and Antioch, looking for a road or gate with US or air force signs. Didnt find anything. My guess is it's back in the swamp off big daddy road. The air force probly has an easement to it and is one of the little dirt roads I passed. There was one gate that looked more heavy duty than any other one I passed but there wasn't a sign on it.

Not worth a ride to try and find it then, I guess. Thanks.

WB. Ride west and bring the nc tag back this way. I'm under house arrest with a bad sinus cold.

Was going to go steal the VA tag near Petersburg, but just can't get motivated for that long, straight ride. Making other plans now.
Edit: The NC is a long, straight ride west instead of north and there are a lot of good taggers within reach of that one. Richmond/Petersburg is full of lazy taggers. That thing has been sitting within reach of a fair number of folks for a good while. Going to jinx myself here, but heading to Angier. There's a file tag I want to get there even if I don't get the TriTOR. Edit #2: Six miles into a 125 mile loop and my freaking hands are cold to the point of pain. Bailing out and spending time on a solution.

If I was already heading to Angrier from Raleigh, I'd be pointing in the right direction for that, right?

Worth their weight in gold on cold days. I have to wear thinner gloves with them because my hands would sweat. They also have pockets for hand warmer packets.
