Might be, this is a big bike trip with some new riders who we want have a an enjoyable time. So tell us iof that trail is doable for a KLR and a new rider?

I think we rode together at the BreckTrek in the short bus crowd, right? I'm about as green as you are. Monarch Crest is single track, largely above treeline. I've ridden it several times on my mountain bike and have always wanted to do it via MC. It's pretty easy. I can only think of one semi difficult section, but it's only a mile or so long. Seems like a 650 should be able to handle it.

Yep, I am shortest of the short bus crowd and was the only KLR on the trip. Let me think about this. If it was just me, I was said hell yeah, but I am not saying no way either
