Sweet, just so you know if I was not clear, those of us heading dead Friday have the day off.

Me and Hughesatron are heading down Saturday morning. I live in Thornton also. If Friday doesn't work out for you head down with us.

That may work for me. The KLR isn't a hot rod so it may not be a quick ride for me. Lol. I try to keep it under 70 with my gearing and knobbies.

Most, if not all of us will be running KLR's with knobbies, so not many people will be cranking past 70 :)

What tire pressures do you guys run when you know you'll be going back and forth between pavement and dirt?

I've been trying 24 front and 22 back when going back and forth a lot in a day. If I'm gonna be on pavement I go higher. I usually carry a small compressor to air back up.

Would anyone be interested in some light trail riding this weekend. I've been riding street bikes for years and this year is my first year on dirt also. I could use more time off road. Any takers?

Asatrur, it sounds like you have an outstanding trip planned and I really appreciate the invitation to join in. I am 80 - 90% that I'm in. Pretty much only something major and unexpected will keep me out. I'll plan on PM'ing you next weekend and ask you a few questions as this kind of a group trip is new to me. Thanks.

Sounds SloBlue!
2Fast,
I might be up for some riding this weekend. I need to take my son out for some training rides for our trip next month.

I might be up for some mellow riding as well as long as its not Saturday. I'm waiting on a replacement turn signal for the KLR so hopefully I'll have it by then.

I should be able to ride at least a day this weekend. I am also contemplating an overnighter with camping somewhere, but not sure yet.

Where will you be headed?
