69 DT1 250 Barn Find

About a year ago a buddy who has an apartment over a barn told me there were a couple motorcycles in a horse stall with a bunch of junk stacked on them. He asked me if I wanted to see them. Uh...Yeah! Evidently a prior tenant moved out, left his stuff and it all got thrown in the barn...about thirty years ago. We asked the landlady about the bikes and she said..."oh, just get them out of here". Yes mam!, Will Do! I was able to get title on both bikes.
One was a '74 CB750 Honda, which I have since restored. The other is a 69 DT1 250 Yamaha which I am getting close to finishing. It seems the guy who had it liked to go fast. It has Ceriani Forks, Koni shocks, a Webco high performance head and the frame has been modified to lower the center of gravity. I haven't decided if I am going to sell it or make it street worthy and keep it. Here are pictures:

Very nice bike!

Thanks for sharing the photos!

Seriously, if I were you I would keep it for doing some trail and mountain riding.
