Did a search and really came up with nothing,

    So here it goes:

I got a 78' Hondamatic with 12,000 org. miles on it. All there and overall in great shape. Last time it ran was 04', so I need a carb kit for it and some other engine gaskets.

But I'm having a hard time finding anything for a 750A carb kit on the web.

Could anyone please share some links and tips to this bike and its parts?

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure they use the same carbs as the K model. Might check bikebandit, and compare part numbers.
Edit, looks like slight differences between K & A. Bikebandit does list carb parts for the A however

The "A" carbs are very different than the K. They have a vacuum-operated idle adjustment so when you drop it into gear the idle picks up (just like a car). My buddy Carl oughta have a clean set or two kicking around, he loves those old 'matics. PM me if you need some carbs. You can get the float gaskets from a couple sources, and a lot of the internals (jets, needles, etc) are the same as other CB750 carbs.

if it needs a head gasket, the engine has to come out.

on the 750a, the head can be removed in frame. it's tight, but it will come out. not so on k models. aside from the obvious differences, the exhaust header is different, the frame is different on 750a, and the carbs have the vaccuum idle

I also heard that the swing arm on the automatic is a little bit longer than the clutch bikes.......some use them on cafe bikes, for a bit of extra wheelbase.

As usual, go here >> http://forums.sohc4.net/ . Tons of good information there and a pretty good bunch of guys too.

And if you can't figure out what to do with it, go drag racing. The auto Hondas can be made into lethal bracket racers :evil. The sport bike power ranger guys will hate you :lol3
