Cineform installed and when I connect just the Hero2, it is recognized, says there is an update, but after downloading the update, it fails to install.
"make sure the SD card has enough room and or format"
This is a new card, camera but i did do a format of the card with the camera.
What am I doing wrong?

Try restarting the computer. Did it for me.

I got mine yesterday, had the same issues, tried rebooting nada, tried different usb cable and ports nada, tried 2 different laptops one with win 7 and one with Vista nada, spent 3 hours jerking around, nada.

So I pulled the GP2 battery and let it sit overnight on the desk. This morning put it back together, plugged it in and this time when the camera update said it was complete it REALLY was! Proceeded with the BacPac updates and all is good now.

The remote is the BEST accessory they could offer, I had a Samsung with a lipstick lens and remote and loved it, no stopping to fart around with the camera, no constantly distracting oneself to make sure it is on, no "damn" I should have stopped to turn it on.

I look at it a a HUGE safety update too, as you can pay attention to riding, not looking at the camera flashing light to make sure it is on, no stopping along the road with fears of getting run over, and fellow travelers happier, you are not F-ing with the G-D camera again!

ok. I am stuck again. Sorry to be a pain/
The firmware update on the camera went well.
Now when I turn on the camera and the wifi BP and put em to gether, plug in the USB cable to the wifi BP part to the PC, Cineform does not pick up the Wifi BP and ask for registering the device ..
Meanwhile Windows goes bing bing and searches for the driver, finds it but reports that it is installed but with errors.
Cant go further. :(

The deal killer for me on this is the fact that the remote does not display the camera info. It looks like you can control the on/off of the camera but still not be able to see what you're really doing. Looks like you need the Hero2 for that functionality. Not sure if it would be worth it to upgrade cameras or not to get that feature. I'm not interested in all the other bells and whistles just being able to remotely control and see what the camera is actually doing is what I'm looking for.

There is a place working on just a remote on/off switch but it's not ready for sale yet.

Don't know if you got past this yet, but during my trials and tribulations, I had to unplug and replug the usb cable into the COMPUTER end, while still connected to the BP, it just "binged" once and recognized the unit.

Bluetooth under water

Mine updated with no issues with the new cineform install... very simple.

PROBLEM- the bluetooth under water has 0 range and i mean 2", it works great @ 50' in open air (didn't test it any further).

Anyone have any info on radio waves under water???

From the reading and research I've done, 2.4ghz (Bluetooth and wifi) is pretty heavily attenuated by water.

Thank you for contacting GoPro!

We don't know the exact release date. This item should be released in the next couple weeks.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Many Thanks,

Anyone remember the "record upside down" software feature and how long it was "coming soon"? Not to be a downer, but GoPro has a poor reputation for this sort of thing so if you buy one (and I'm going to) just figure the extras won't ever be developed and if/when they are it'll be a nice surprise.

Can you post a link? I only see the package for about $290.

Thanks!
